Introducing the New 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander
The All-New 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander is finally available. We are thrilled to share the details of the latest and greatest addition to the Toyota family of SUVs. The Grand Highlander is available in three available powertrains with comfortable third-row seating, coupled with ample cargo space.
Let’s take a deeper dive into the key categories that define the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander and explore the noteworthy enhancements that this new vehicle has to offer.
The Grand Highlander offers a distinctive and beautiful exterior design, coupled with a spacious interior. From the front, the vehicle showcases a trapezoidal, hammerhead front grille and available 20” wheels. The sophisticated design continues through to the rear, thanks to a sharp rear bumper. The Hybrid MAX powertrain variant takes it one step further with standard exposed dual exhaust tips. The exterior is beautiful yet functional. The side of the vehicle flows seamlessly from the doors through to the fenders to the front and rear wheels, expressing a simple yet dynamic-looking design.
The thoughtful and spacious design continues into the interior. The soft-padded instrument panel floats above the available wood-effect styling that continues into the door trim, with a functional tray shape. Drivers will enjoy available leather-trimmed seats with 10-way power driver and 8 –way passenger adjustments (Limited and Platinum). And exclusively for Hybrid MAX, drivers will experience Ultrasuede® and leather-trimmed seats with bronze-coloured accents throughout the cabin.
MODEL LINE UP
The All-New 2024 Grand Highlander family consists of 3 vehicle Grades, each with available Gas and Hybrid versions:
The three available Grades are:
- XLE Grade (Gas & Hybrid Models)
- Limited Grade (Gas & Hybrid Models)
- Platinum Grade (Hybrid MAX Model)
TOYOTA SAFETY SENSE (TSS-P)
All 2024 models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, Toyota’s suite of active safety and convenience systems. TSS enhancements are made possible by a suite of system sensors with the latest detection capability. This includes:
- Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
- Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
- Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
- Lane Tracing Assist
- Road Sign Assist
- Automatic High Beams
- Proactive Driving Assist
When it comes to deciding between performance or efficiency, Toyota offers both in the first-ever Grand Highlander. For the Canadian marketplace, all Grand Highlander models come equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard.
Dynamic Torque Control AWD on the gas model works to actively distribute torque between the front and rear axles, as well as the two rear wheels. It uses an electromagnetic coupling ahead of the rear differential to engage, or disengage the rear wheels, as needed. The result is improved traction and enhanced driving stability.
For Electronic On-Demand AWD on the hybrid models provides excellent fuel efficiency, start-off acceleration, handling, and stability.
The Grand Highlander’s suite of technological features is plentiful, and the latest high-tech cabin hosts the latest technology.
Toyota’s new Traffic Jam Assist* technology (Platinum grade), is a radar-based system that helps lessen stressful stop-and-go traffic on limited access roadways by operating the steering, gas, and brake pedals from speeds between 0-40 km/h under certain conditions (4G network dependent) *.
Standard on the Grand Highlander is a 12.3-inch Toyota Multimedia system designed and engineered by Toyota’s Connected Technologies team. Users can interact with the system through intuitive touch and voice activation controls. With the available Connected Service Drive Connect, drivers and passengers have access to:
- Intelligent Assistant
- Cloud Navigation
- Destination Assist
